SoftServe - the leading IT-company in Eastern Europe and a
member of the Massachusetts Software Council - participated in the
Spring Membership Meeting, held in Boston. The event featured
Mikhail Gorbachev - the Nobel Laureate and former USSR President -
as a keynote speaker. He addressed the issues of the growing
importance of information technology in the global economy and
encouraged collaboration and partnership among the local companies
and the service providers from Russia and Ukraine who were present
at the meeting.
Responding to the growing desire of U.S. businesses to outsource
their software development overseas, the meeting introduced eight
leading software development companies from Eastern Europe. This
exceptional event gathered over 900 senior executives from
Massachusetts' software, hardware, and other IT companies, as well
as Boston's mayor and state legislative leaders.
Senior Vice President Yura Vasylyk represented SoftServe at this
event and delivered a speech on the company's innovative product
development approach. "We attained many positive moments from this
meeting, and are delighted to provide IT-Community of Massachusetts
with an opportunity to network and converse with Mr. Gorbachev",
says Yura Vasylyk. As one of the sponsors of the meeting, SoftServe
used this opportunity to reach out to the IT community of New
England, presenting how the local companies can utilize the best of
Ukraine's expertise and offshore programming services to their
advantage.
