The leading technology trade association in the state,
Massachusetts Software Council (www.swcouncil.org) will hold
its spring membership breakfast on April 12 at the Marriott Hotel
at Copley Place. Membership events draw the leaders of the
state’s high-tech organizations and play a significant role
in promoting the industry. SoftServe will be joining in sponsorship
to some of the leading companies of the state such as Monster
Worldwide and PTC. Yura Vasylyk, Senior Vice President of SoftServe
will be introducing SoftServe at the event.
As the keynote speaker, Mikhail Gorbachev will be addressing the
high-tech community at this exceptional event. Gorbachev has been
one of the twentieth century’s most pivotal leaders. As
President of the Soviet Union, he ended Communist rule in Eastern
Europe, secured relations with the West, signed two broad
disarmament pacts that dramatically reduced the danger of worldwide
nuclear destruction. For his extraordinary efforts, Gorbachev was
awarded the 1990 Nobel Peace Prize. Now retired from politics,
Gorbachev founded the Gorbachev Foundation, a non-profit,
non-partisan educational foundation dedicated to addressing the
challenges of and articulating new priorities for the post-Cold War
world.
