SoftServe, the leading software development company in Eastern
Europe, was the first to integrate innovative Bird's Eye feature
from Microsoft's Windows Live Local (Powered by MSN Virtual
Earth ®) into a comprehensive commercial software product
developed for its long-term partner and client - the RE3W, Inc.
This Internet solution for the commercial real estate industry was
introduced at the Microsoft Live Offering Event in San Francisco
(Nov. 1, 2005), and was highly lauded by Bill Gates, the Chairman
and Chief Software Architect of Microsoft Corp.
Utilizing Bird's Eye, a 45 degree oblique aerial image from
Windows Live Local® and a tax assessors parcel map delivered
via web services from The First American Corporation, the RE3W
software allows its members to virtually "fly" into the business
district of any city via satellite imagery and to easily identify
the correct parcel of land. By simply drawing a box on the MSN
Virtual Earth® satellite image of a property the RE3W
customers will get a list of all property owners contained within
the box, together with all owner's contact information and
telephone numbers.
This MSN Bird's Eye integration with Real Estate Portal allows
end-users to:
- Search and get the 45 degree oblique aerial images for the
properties;
- Have a zoom view of the selected aerial image and pan
around;
- Get graphical information in addition to the real estate
business data retrieved or populated earlier;
- Print Bird's Eye photos.
Built on Microsoft's .NET technology, the RE3W application is a
unique combination of Web services with innovative technology that
provides rich experiences to RE3W customers and equips them with a
full set of visual information on the territory of their interest.
This breakthrough software is designed to instantly provide "live
services" to millions of users nationwide, and frees commercial
real estate professionals from the costly tedium of their
traditional search and collaboration process.
