Internet multi-media, at Microsoft A.I.R. Final Showdown.
Virtual Earth Multiple Driving Directions

nominations: Best Feedback and People's Choice.
Microsoft Silverlight, a cutting-edge technology positioned by
Microsoft as the best cross-platform alternative to Adobe Flash,
delivers media experiences and rich interactive applications for
the Web that incorporate video, animation, interactivity and
stunning user interfaces. As an endeavor to encourage and support
the use of the promising next-generation technology, Microsoft
gathered its selected partners for a special adaptation program
held in Redmond, WA, on September 16-26, 2007.
A.I.R. (Artists In Residence) program assignment envisaged
development of an application sample based on Microsoft Silverlight
technology in real-time. SoftServe team consisting of two experts
operating on-site and nine software engineers simultaneously
working on the project in Ukraine, presented Real-time
Weather Services application prototype in excess of the
one required.
Both application samples received outstanding reception and
tremendously positive response from a panel of over 20 jurors
incorporating Microsoft Silverlight developers, program managers
and product managers.
In development of both prototypes, SoftServe experts applied
Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, Microsoft Expression Studio, in
particular Expression Blend tool. The sample of Multiple
Driving Directions will shortly be posted at http://www.msdn.com/, an official
website of Microsoft Developer Network, together with other
successful Microsoft-based applications of Corp.'s partners.
